Buddha Poornima, this festivals are celebrated in the India, which falls on the full moon night in the month of Vaisaka (either in April or May), the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, this is very oldest religions in the world. In Sri Lanka this festival is known as "Wesak Festival" and in India it is known as "Buddha Jayanti". Vaisaka Poornima day is fixed by the full-moon day, of the month, which falls in the month of May the Vaisaka. This festival falls according to the Lunar year.
